Passion, heart, fidelity. These three words define one of the most faithful Spanish fans. Betis’ supporters have earned the affection, respect and applause of Spanish and European football. The club was founded in 1907, as Sevilla Balompié, and in 1914 merged with Betis Foot-Ball Club, which had split from the other team in town, Sevilla FC.
From this merge comes Real Betis Balompié. The first golden age of the club was in the 30s, winning their only league title, first one won by team from Andalusia, under the direction of the British O’Connell. Unfortunately, due to financial problems, the club was forced to be relegated even to Third Division in the late 40s.
